Break in time.....

Heat cycle motor 3 times with Break in oil or no syn, Make 2 good wide open passes on the bike, then Change the oil to Syn oil of choice, then your done. I have done this with my Hayausa motors, and all engines i have built to date. Have not had a Failure yet:thumbsup:

For break-in, I just remove shipping oil and put in some decent 10W30. Ride it normal. After about 5 hours of use I switch to Mobil1 synthetic and change once a season after that. Anything else IMO is wasting oil, especially in a $100 motor.

Its the same deal with opinions on all forums when it comes to breaking in engines,however one consistent rule Ive seen is never run your engine WOT for extended periods.Always vary your throttle.

WOT= Wide Open Throttle

ive been riding mine for 5 days with the first oil i put in it no problems so i dont know what all the fuss is about:shrug:
No fuss at all, but all the cuttings and filth shed from the 1 hour of running is still in there.

Lapping the parts in your engine together.

I would not run it that long but its only a 100 dollar engine. If you don't mind replacing it a bit earlier then all the break in talk is a mute point
