It's a fun power engine, I may be wrong but I don't think they came with bearings at least the few I've had didn't, heck the one I have doesn't even have the removable bushings, the block and pto cover themselves are the bushing...

That doesn't sound good. He wants 125 for the whole rig and the motor isn't running. This doesn't sound like that great a gamble if that engine is a throw a way type. Thanks for the info
To my knowledge, Briggs never made a Dual-Bearing "Fun Power" engine.
It has to do with the models numbers....most all Fun Powers are 131700 engines I think.
That series doesn't offer a bearing block.
The Fan shroud could have been swapped out, but then who knows what engine that is.

Well, what would you rate a fun power, good, decent, not so good? I don't know beans about the engine is why I am asking. I can get a couple of five horse briggs tiller motors pretty cheap. Don't have a clue about those either. In other words I am trying to find out what is a good briggs flathead that will hold up in a mini bike, cart situation. I don't want to hop it other than porting polishing and some kind of exhaust.

The Briggs Fun Power engines were designed to be used on go-karts and minibikes. Most all of them were made with a 3/4" keyed shaft as it is the most common size shaft for centrifical clutches. These engines do well as long as they retain the factory carburetor & governor linkage.
Porting & Polishing can effect the way the factory carburetor operates. Usually this type of mod is done with fully adjustable carburetors.
The Exhaust Header mod should be done at the same time as the HI-Flow air filter upgrade because you need more air going in to move it out faster.
Tiller & Generator motors are your best chance of finding a used Dual Bearing motors.
