Finally split the case on my Tecumseh/Lausen 6 horse today. The engine didn't run when I got the freebie '66 Lawn Ranger, so I wasn't too concerned with what I'd find.
It's pretty ugly inside. The rod came out in 5 pieces, most of that from the cap. The journal looks like one of Edison's early wax cylinders for recording. The piston and rings are in remarkable shape considering the carnage.
Anyone have a crank and a connecting rod for this engine?
