Can a Centrifugal clutch be mounted either way?

I have a 70's go cart that looks like a Dune Cat. The problem I have is looking at the lower sprocket and where the motor mounts, putting on the centrifugal clutch with sprocket out will not line up with lower sprocket. If I put centrifugal clutch sprocket inward it will work. I bought this go cart without a motor. So can a centrifugal clutch go either way?

Just asked the same question a day or 2 ago and it depends on your clutch .... most likely yes

For a standard MaxTorque, yes. For others, not sure but probably yes.

The Dune Cat is supposed to have a Torque Converter drive.:smile:
