Chain cover, just messing around.

Hi, I am new to this forum. I got the bug for a mini bike and bought one two days later. This is a Bonanza, I think. Someone extended the frame (real shoddy job) 6.5 Briggs. runs pretty good. Didn't like my leg by the chain though so here we go...

Cut out some 3003 larger than needed and go to town with my bat hammer. Hammered it into a hollow to create tucks.

I use the bottom of an old gas bottle for a hollow. A tree stump will do the trick also.

Twenty minutes, looks like crap.

crushing tucks to shrink the edge

Trial fit.. Looking good now.

Remove the walnuts. Not adding any shape here, just getting it ready for the plannishing hammer. You can do this all with a hammer and dolly also.

I trued up the radius with the edge of my old gas bottle and a slapper.

Twenty minutes in the planishing hammer.

Looks decent. 10 more minutes in plannishing hammer. Da sand with 120

Stuck on with tape. One bolt went into engine block and the other to a tab I welded on the frame.

Just messing around after work. This site is pretty cool.

Any one hop up this kind of a Briggs?

Thanks Mike

Thanks guys. Made this in 2 hours. Had a really bad experience when I was a kid... a bike and no chain guard... my pants leg got wound up in it while riding, layed it over and had to wait an hour before my dad came looking for me. Funny story now though.
