Chopped Speedway

This looks like a very original Red Baron from the front to just behind the tank. Obviously, it has been chopped and fabricated as a hard-tail, but I kind of like it. I plan to leave the rust and just get it running & riding.

My question is how to tell if this was originally a 1973 or 1974 Red Baron. Is there any difference? Thanks

Engine ID numbers are the only way I know of...and the only difference.

Your welcome. And if you don't know how to read the engine code...just post it and someone will know the year from it.

1972. You can tell by the gas tank. The 1973 have an indention and different decal.
