Clutch mounted on Jackshaft

#1
Hello everyone I am new to the mini bike scene and setting up my first bike. Was wondering how many of you have your clutch mounted on the jackshaft and if you like it and what advantages you have found from doing this? I have a 6.5 yellow clone from NR racing govenor removed 6 deg crank key and a Mikuni 22mm carb 10t sprocket on engine 14t on jackshaft with a 10t clutch so it will be same ratio either place but should have slightly higher engagement. Any advise welcome thank you for making this a great site to find endless info. Kyle

Having the clutch on the jackshaft allows the clutch to engage at a higher rpm and higher part of the power curve. Good for acceleration and torque

Im not sure about the vibration. I would think that the any vibrations would still remain. The clutch is mounted to the jackshaft. The jackshafts mounted to the frame. Wouldnt you feel vibrations just the same?
