Clutch noise?

I just re-drilled new holes on a new plate for my mini bike and when I put the clutch back on, it keeps engaging and making a terrible noise. However, this only happens when I put the chain on. There no problem when I take the chain off and just hold the clutch with my foot. It is a fairly new centrifugal clutch, but was sitting around for a while when I was welding on my new engine plate. Is this a problem with the alignment of the engine and chain, or do I just need to oil and clean the clutch up (if so, what kind of oil should I use?).

More than likely you need to lube your clutch, or possible chain is to tight.

Oil the bushing ONLY. Crankcase oil or sae 30 is fine. Just a few drops will be fine every few hours of use.

Mine does this also. It's a MaxTorque, a drop of oil on the shaft the sprocket is attached to will solve the issue. This clutch needs it just about every time I ride it.
