Comet clutch for 25hp engine.

So my build I am doing a briggs flathead build that will surely put out 25hp and at most 9000 rpm and was wondering if a comet 30 series would work? Or would I need to use a 40? I just was wondering if I could damage a torque converter. Thanks you.

I believe if I'm not mistaken, on the Tav2 box it states "8000rpm max" and this would be a 30 series driver.

A 25 hp flat head briggs, wow what a big power increase from stock! Awesome:thumbsup:

Never heard of anyone with that kind of power running a 30 series. Not saying it's impossible but never seen it.

Well first thing good luck with 25 hp flat head on a minibike . Are you going to carry around a electric starter? And a 30 or 40 is not gonna handle the RPMs .

What "briggs flathead" (HP) are you starting with? I would REALLY like to see the engine build sheet and (especially) the dyno print out for that!?
