These handbuilt 1/2 scale tractors were at a craft festival a few years ago.
The fellow sitting by the camper fabricated them using various parts that were about the right scale, what he couldn't find that would work he had to make himself.

Yes, they are way cool. I remember the guy saying the Ford has a working 3 point lift, I don't know about the others. I should spent more time there.

I often wonder though.
Why doesn't a company manufacture a good quality small tractor like these?
Once you get past the retro look you start to realize it would be realy nice to have a high quality durrable small garden tractor like they used to make.
Very hard to find these days.....
For anyone interested send me a PM and I will forward you a manual to build a small tractor.
unfortunately it requires you to find things like the axel from a Modle T and other very hard to come by parts because it was written in the 1940s

As well if you want to build your own garden tractor, there are some guys on Antique Engines and Old Iron Tractors on SmokStak that have built their own and have various pictures posted and write ups. Check them out there are some nice ones.
Cool. I'm a member there too, that is were I found my dad his '52 LA Case. I mostly post under the small gas engine section because I have a few nice old gas engines.
