CT200U/Viper HS200??

Been a while since I was here. Last year, I ended up getting rid of my Coleman B200RSV. Even after an engine swap, it was a rattly, uncomfortable machine and I didn't like it at all. Two years ago, I owned a Coleman CT200U. I regret selling that bike, actually....it was just fine. My question is about the new name version at Dunham's...the Viper HS200. Same exact bike? Anybody own the "Viper" version and have anything to say about it? I'm thinking about being irresponsible and buying one this weekend while they're on sale. The price point is ok. I feel the newer B200 series Colemans are over-priced, and after seeing all of the engine failures from bolts backing out on the B200R I decided to stay away from those. Finally, is it true that Coleman Powersports is in Chapter 11???

There's at least two different styles of bike under the HS200 moniker that turned up in a web search. Do you mean this one?

If this is it, it looks like the exact same bike as the Coleman CT200U. But, looks are deceiving.
Don't know about their current status but it says they filed Chapter 11 in January 2023. Plenty of documentation for that.

Yes, this is the one. They're on sale and I have a coupon....might go get one today. Didn't find anything about the Ch. 11. What happened?

Ended up buying it. Dunhams had a flash sale that day, it was $599.99. I was also able to use my 17% off coupon after some bickering. Heck of a deal if you ask me!! Bike is built but I'm still doing the pre-delivery inspection and I need some rec fuel for the season. It's identical to the Coleman save for the decals/markings. Watch for the sales at Dunhams if you want one!!

You mention the B200 series. What do those bikes weigh, 150 plus? My 200U minus the rear rack weighs 115 pounds. My other one with the front suspension kit weighs 121 pounds.

Best I can tell, the difference is in the fact that the BT200x has 1.5” diameter tubing to the 200U’s 7/8”, plus the X has a suspension front end with proper handlebars (and associated risers). The X has plastic fenders to the U’s metal ones though, and no racks. Not sure if that accounts for 35lbs, but it might.
