don't now were to put the spring in the pull start

I try to reassemble the pull start that my father take apart on his snow blower but don't no how that spring go. On the picture is how a put the spring it look to the right way but I have to put rrrreealy quick on it otherwise it's not griping.So if some one now how to fix my stupid problem it will be nice.

Try just loosening both nuts a bit. May be too tight on the starter pawl (dog)

no it's not the bolt it's juste that little plastic figuer that don't want do move when a put the spring but the spring don't seam to have a other position

it looks right in the picture. I cant imagine how else it would be mounted. Unless you can flip it so that the part of the spring that makes a complete loop goes under the little lever.

Heres what i mean. Im pretty sure that moving the spring like in this picture is right. The spring has a slight bend in one section which will alow all clearance needed.

sorry but I don't think that it will work because if I flip the spring the part that is in the plastic finguer will be in the rong position

You might be right but i think you should go try it. Thats the only other way it could go and im willing to bet thats correct.
