Engine stalling (and random hard starts) :|

#1
Took my Boonie out yesterday (well tried) after a fresh oil change, and the beast just wouldn't start. Looking thru things today, as a last resort I removed the kill switch from the handle bars..BINGO. It was one of those cheap red push button deals. Thinking up upgrading to one of those DB30 style switches (IF they will fit the handlebars).

So I fire it up cruise the neighborhood no biggie. I come up to a stop sign and she dies..no bogging/sputtering just dies. Odd never had that before. Pull off to the side and start up again. Go up the road for a few blocks, come to a stop dies again. :doah:

Carb issue? or??

The bike in question:

maybe the carb has build up from running without a filter and tecumseh engines have horrible air flow so any little dirt can clog them or maake them die for no reason like in your case
