Briggs engine

Briggs 5S or 6S engine from the 50s. Probably a 5S, which were common on reel mowers. 5 = 5 ci, S = suction feed carb, 1 hp. Good, durable little engines. Dln't have the crankshaft extension for a recoil starter.

Looks like a Briggs to me.

It's definately a Briggs 5S I am gonna say... Either 5s or 6s but typically the 6S was a recoil start...
