Hello - I'm new to the site and to "real" minibikes. I was a Honda motorcycle mechanic for 7 years in my misspent youth, but I've been informed that real minibikes DO NOT shift gears, so I'm open to learning new things.
Here is my most recent acquisition. Can anyone offer any insight as to what I've gotten ahold of? I can see a rather nasty looking weld at the bottom of the steering head and I think there's a crack near the swingarm pivot, but these imperfections are easily fixable. I've got an old iron 3HP Briggs and an old 4HP Tecumseh as engine options, though I can't see keeping the scrub brake with so many good disc brake options available, so I guess a modern engine wouldn't be out of the question. Feel free to share your opinions.
