Slow down there!
Remove the seal and then remove the snap ring that holds the crank and bearing together.
DO NOT FORCE IT APART or you'll damage the crankcase cover or worse. To remove the seal, put a couple of small wood screws in it, then use a pry bar or hammer to pull it out. The snap ring is just inside. Once you remove that, the crank can slip right out and the crankcase cover will come off
