Agree..... it probably reads 143.##### which is the Sears version of the part number for the Tecumseh engines. The manuals in the sticky's have cross reference numbers. And if you don't find the number in the cross ref list, ask here. There were different versions of the manual and they had different sets of numbers.

Gotta love that (someone on here probably told them they needed to take the flywheel off in order to set the points, so they just dropped it at the curb on the way out to harbor Freight for a predator with their super coupon :laugh:)

I dunno if I would fully trust the numbers, it almost looks like the block was a different color than the shroud and head :shrug: Does look like its got the thread-less exhaust though. Might just want to verify the bore size, and if it is around that generation it may have the larger taper flywheel as that about the time they started changing them over to the universal taper.

Thanks Markus as always good information and this one will go on the shelf for another project. Motor has been messed with, so will need some sorting out.
