HD Helmet Cam on my Home Made Foam RC Twin Airplane - Filmed on the Alvord Desert

Just returned from a 5 day camping trip at the Alvord Dry Lake Bed. It was a Blast as Always. This time I took a few RC airplanes along to play with and decided to strap the GoPro HD Helmet Cam onto the Twin. Here's a short video of a flight around camp. Click on 720P to see the best picture.

Great video. The Alvord desert is a neat place. A few years ago my buddy rode his dirt bike around out there on the dry lake bed and the soil caused the chrome plating on the spokes to tarnish real bad. We were all kind of surprised by that.

Yeah most of the lake beds down in that area have a high concentration of Alkali in it. It's a good idea to wash your equipment as soon as you get back, I add vinegar to the wash to neutralize the alkali.

thats a good idea and the video looks great, would be cool if you recorded some dirt bike races or follow someone ripping around. or maybe the playboy mansion pool:shrug::thumbsup:
