help with brakes??

i have a golden pinto mini bike with just the foot brake on it. im gonna be putting a seriously fast motor on it and was wondering if i could put front brakes on it some how. (check it out in the project logs)

if you want a backup for the scrub brake a clutch band might be better and easier than a front wheel brake :thumbsup:

i have the same bike with a mild build gx160 on it and it stops pretty good

if you have extra axle parts for a kart maybe look into putting a live axle on the bike with a disc brake..

Install a clutch brake (if installed/adjusted correctly they stop extremely well) for use as your "primary" brake and use the existing scrub brake as the "back up" in the event you break or otherwise lose a chain.
