Do you guys think i cank make my own gas tank from 1/8 in steel welded together

well can you weld ? if so then ill bet you can make a tank out of that . i have some i made out of tin cans and other thin steel

If you have $30 and a drill you can make yourself a 20oz gas tank out of a paint ball CO2 tank.

i like the idea of the paint ball tank but i think i will make a custom to fit my bike

I think if you have the right tools and supplies it would be a great idea if you are making a custom bike.

Thanks, they are easy to make but there is 1 secret to making them leak-free. (but i'll never tell:biggrin

1/8" is pretty darn heavy. I've made lots of tanks from the 16g sheet metal you get from HomeDepot,with no problems. My new tank is 12g,oval tubing,which is also gonna serve as the backbone of my custom frame.

The one on the Left, I Bought from Randy and the one next to it, I forgot, but the little red one is for a Tom Thumb Mini and I think I got the SST tank from You? None of them are For Sale. :laugh: :thumbsup: :biggrin:

I'll pay top dollar for that sears tank if you own it. I'd even trade a custom stainless steel one for it straight across. Of course the sears tank must be rust free. Here's the stainless one I'd trade ya.......
