i got a honda z50 for free has motor i took the motor off the frame and there are two wires comming out from the stator and there is the coil but doesnt have the spark plug boot its just the wire and some other wires that were connected to the lights but the bike has no light they have been token off i bought a new wire harness with the coil but i dont know which wire goes to the stator and also can it run without the lights hooked up need help quick!!!! also do i need a CDI for it?
The wiring diagram seems complicated for sure, but it's the best way to figure out what you have and don't have. I am working on a couple of z50's, but already have the harness. Let me know if you still need help. I think I have part of an old harness. I believe you can get new ones for about thirty or forty dollars. DrAtv has a lot of parts if you have not found them yet.
