Thanks! Underneath about 6 layers of spray paint is the original red paint. I figured I couldn't go wrong for 50 bucks.

I have a brake for a '69 Rupp with a shattered backplate. You might able the salvage the actuator arm and spring from it. PM me if you're interested.

Judging by the rear sprocket and the headlight mounts, that was originally a Rupp Roadster. Definitely a nice find for $50

someone put the CL photo of that in the freakbikes thread, definitly looks a lot better sorted out like you did and not with the duct taped pad seat and briggs cobbled on it :thumbsup:
