MaxTorque maintence?

I was shocked to find out that Hillard recommends cleaning there Inferno/Fury clutches with WD40.

I was curious if anyone has applied this to a MaxTorque and what kind of result they observed? I have a fresh MaxTorque but am worried that I am going to burn it up with tall gearing and a clutch band brake.

My mini is set up to run 50mph at 5500rpm, 4.17:1. I have yet to confirm wether its able to acomplish this feat or not, waiting on some nice weather and a GPS.

Maybe a little cleaning and lubrication every now and than would help cope with the additional stress/heat. Am I being overly cautious, anyone have experience with similar gearing?

Nope, That doesn't sound any better as time passes.

I agree, truthfully its only for the thunderdrome race. Braking shouldn't be much of an issue as its a banked bicycle track and the racing is supposed to be "for fun". After the race I will be flipping my jackshaft and returning to 28-30mph gearing.
