Mini bike brakes help

Hello, here is my Mini bike I am working on. I am ordering a brake lever and cable for it. I need help on the rear wheel part of the brakes, does it have some kind of pad(s) I need to change also?

Yes, it'll have brake pucks in that caliper. They're quite small. There was a guy on Ebay selling them a few months back, but I'm not sure if he still has any or not.

LOL, im sure I need new ones, since those been on the mini bike since the 70's

I couldn't say without seeing the actual pads. Do they squeeze the disk enough to stop the bike?

it slows it down, but not a complete stop while braking, I am waiting on OldMiniBikes sales to get back to me on those brake pucks

thanks, looks like a nice braking system. The motor I put on it is still a 3 hp. I did not go with the bigger one.

Hi, do you think i have to take the rear brakes apart in order to find out what size brake pucks I need?

Someone will know what pads you need for that Cat , but might ad well take it apart as that's the only way to install new ones , sorry , lol
