Always amazes me how many different interests are represented on the internet.
I'm a car guy into old mopars. I recently got the bug to get a mini after never having been able to get one when I was a kid in the 60's and 70's, yup I'm an old f__t.
Anyway my buddy and I just bought two DB 30's yesterday after I found this site a few days ago. After searching around and looking at kits and so on, it really made sense to pick up these baja bikes for cheap. (The kits I found would run about 250$ with no engine.) Local auto parts store was selling them off as they are discontinuing handling them. The way I'm looking at it - I was buying a complete bike less the motor, after figuring out the motor was inadequate. I'm fairly well impressed with the low cost of the DB 30 and its features but the engine sucks.
Already looking to modify the thing since it hardly can move with me on it. Am looking at the 6.5 conversion kit being sold by another member on the board. Interesting that someone already has filled the niche.
