I saw this on Ebay and I had to have it. It is the first "stationary" AH47 I have ever seen. I have seen and used them on chainsaws and they are beastly little engines. At 77cc, they were pretty big saw engines. This one has a governor, which I have never seen before.
The gas tank, with bracket, and the base are something that just told me to bid high. Everything is connected, it has very good compression, and I cannot detect any rod knock, thank the Lord. There is a saw on Ebay now (probably more than one) that has the correct recoil starter for this CCW engine. Most of the saws spun CW, but the gear reduction saws spun CCW. I think a big aluminum recoil on this little engine would be fun, and maybe it will all polish up nice and shiny.

I' m thinking about soaking this trophy in a drum of kerosene for a while to soften up some of old, hardened grease and mud. I don' t think it can hurt anything. The only rubber I see is the fuel line which is probably older than most of us.

I found an old manual. This engine has a tag T1144. In that manual, it states that the 1100 series was horizontal shaft, full bearings, no governor, intended for chain saws and go karts.
Since this one doesn't have the angled carb adapter as on a saw, I believe I have found an AH47 kart engine from the very early '60s.
Has good compression, have not checked for spark, but that would be an easy fix, anyway.

We made a deal. I may have two of these things able to mount on something.
One with a governor and one that really sounds like a chainsaw on crack.
This one makes my Jacobsens sound like 4 strokes. Mickey mouse ears required!
