New project

Getting ready to start a new project and I have a 5hp, off a roto-tiller I think. but no carb. I was hoping one of you " briggs" experts could give me a little heip, looking for just a carb, not the carb and gas tank together. I am not planning on hopping the motor up, this is just for putting around and for other people to ride. Any info would be helpful

Looks like you might have any early block with a short intake bolt pattern.
I got this carb off of ebay just in case I needed one but haven't used it yet.
This carb has an offset mounting bolt pattern and only works with newer blocks with 3 bolt holes.

http://www.oldminibikes.com/forum/briggs-stratton-engines/72677-briggs-carb-id-help.html A small flojet carb should work. This carb is for a remote tank, not the tank below the carb set-up. They are usually found of 3hp briggs with the tank mounted in front of the engine.

Thx for the replys, I would like to run a remote tank, so I guess I'll start hitting up Ebay and Craigs for some parts.
