New Shop Saw

got the cold saw into position today. had a coolant leak due to two washers under the screws that fasten the saw to the base. they interfered with the manifold that bolted to the saw and hose for the return coolant to the sump. washers remove; problem solved.

put a piece of 2" 1018 round bar in the vice for the first cut.

cut off a piece about .150" thick, went slow, the user manual said take it easy for the first three cuts.

flatness was within .002" for the cut off piece, not bad for out of the box!

i ended up with a 12% oil water coolant solution, two gallons filled the sump about halfway.

definitely a cool saw!
