Early 1969 Bird made bike, most likely a JC penney branded "foremost" mini bike. The disc brake (what the tab is near the back wheel on yours) was very short lived on those.

think yours might have some hack-job handywork on the headtube though, so maybe make sure thats secure enough to put back into service :thumbsup:

Thanks Marcus. Upon further inspection i think your right about the hack job on the head tube. Not sure why they would have cut that part out. But the welds look clean and solid

and upon even further inspection. I noticed a pic of another one like mine with the same brake tab. It also was missing that flat piece on the headtube. Perhaps this year was originally like that? Thanks again for your help
