I bought this some time ago for use on a project and ended up going another direction. A skilled machinist from OldMiniBikes reproduced a missing spring button, as one was missing. I installed a replacement spring. These springs hold tension sideways to keep the clutch from chattering. They do not control the actuation RPM
According to the instructions included, this clutch actuates at 1800 RPM and is best suited for larger HP and heavier bike applications. It has never been used. One side has some nice chrome. To make the chrome side visible, the machine would require a jack shaft, since the driver gear sits pretty far out.
Because it has never been used, and comes in the original box, with original instructions, (even the supplied snap ring is in the tiny envelope) this could be a neat piece for your lighted glass display case. Or, whip it out when your friends come over to raid the kegerator, and show them you are a true, vintage kinda dude.
