OEM Honda GX240, what to do?

I have a generator with a Honda GX240 8hp motor, starts right up, runs strong. Generator itself is bad though.

Now I am trying to decide what to do. Should I sell the whole thing, take the motor off and sell it by itself or pull the motor off and try to find a new project?

To be honest I don't think I will go with the new project idea since I already have a spare 6.5 that I am just sitting on.

pull off the engine and see if the shaft is tapered.
if it's a straight shaft I would keep the engine.

If it's tapered. you could swap this into it, and sell your old one to get some money back
