I am a 32 year retired engine mechanic. My main focus for 40 years was pre 1963 Chevy six cylinder engines. 5 years ago i got real sick and was told by my doctors i may not be here in a few years. I sold my collection of 22 Chevy 6 engines and speed parts for same. I beat my sickness and retired. I now collect old small gas engines. I have appox 30 at this point. About 20 of them are Briggs & Stratton engines. 9 of them are the big Briggs engines. Models 9 thru 23. I feel the models 9 thru 23 have been overlooked by many which is good for me because it has kept the prices low. I plan to build a maxi bike this summer using a model 23 Briggs engine. I plan to have a starter / generator / battery on it with a updated ignition system on it. I also collect old tools and in the process of remodeling my 3 car garage to replace my small 10 by 20 shop.
