Pedator Build and Advice

#1
Hello everyone:

In addition to a Baja Im working on my son has one as well with a new style Hemi Predator.

He opened up the side cover the other day so Im going to update some stuff.

Currently his Baja Warrior with the Pred has:

Tav 2, Hot Rod minibike exhaust, ARC air filter and ARC ported .615 box stock carb

Ive ordered a stock length billet rod, billet flywheel with 8 degree timing, ARC Mod 2 cam and 22 lbs springs

Besides maybe a thinner head gasket (after checking clearance) and removing the gov do you see anything wrong with the combo or have any other suggestions?

You've put together a great package! Nothing else is really needed. You could have the head ported if you want to boost things a little more, but not mandatory. What you've got will be plenty fast & reliable.

Only thing I would add to the list is that once it's built, you check jetting for the mixture. Run at WOT, stop it immediately & pull the plug to see where you are with the tune. The right mixture will have a lot to do with how it performs when pulling & making hp. Sounds like a good motor!
