Picked it up for cheap....what is it

I picked this bike up cheap going to paint it and put a predator 212 on it...can anyone tell me what this bike is?

It was made in the 60s maybe later into the 70s it's one of birds most popular models also the basic model. I have one of these along with a few other birds. Should be fun to fix up! You can modify this model without anyone crying foul. It's very common. Have fun with it! Make it yours!

That is the original engine I think. It's not in bad shape. Don't throw it away.

The engine still runs but looks like where the air cleaner goes is busted off. You say dont throw it away...why are they worth money?? What would be the reason for keeping it??

Looks like a later sears sold version, the bent over tab thing under the clutch is for the chainguard and it has the later style fender mounts among a few other things. the little briggs on it is to new to be from the bike, its from around the '90's
