Picked up this nice little REO small engine this weekend at the flea market. Thought maybe someone here may have some interest in it, besides me.
I replaced the pull cord, cleaned out the carb, put in some fresh fuel and it purrs like a kitten.
It does have a gear reduction on it, not sure of the ratio, but I bet it around 6:1 or so. When it was sitting at idle speed the crank wasn't spinning very fast at all.
Not sure what it would be good for other than a wall hanger. But she sure is pretty.
