rupp problems

on my dart kart, the two arms that come out to the wheels from the frame are bent back. how can i bend them forward again? should i heat the metal and hammer back?

Without pictures of what you have I would say STOP put the torch away . If both sides are bent it may just be designed like that . Rupp made a lot of different karts some just play karts and many others for all types of racing. Please put up some pictures first.

If this is just what it looks like a play kart. I say start over buy a pair of new spindle and bracket sets @ about $13.50 each from American Power Sports and have a axle welded on to the frame rails. If you bend them back it may not ever be right.
