Are the crank and sidecover for a H35,HS40,&HS50 all the same?

no they are not the side cover should be the same but the crank is not

some old and new side covers don't interchange either do to coil VS points. (clearance)

wait but the coil and or points are on the flywheel side. Isnt he asking about the PTO side?

Yes, PTO side. I picked up a 3 1/2 hp short block assembly with a drilled and tapped crank and the side cover had both oil fiil plugs. Just wondered what all the parts would fit.
