Hello all. I'm refreshing a few Tec engines, and one is just kicking my ass. After refreshing, which included new ignition parts, carb rebuild, clean head, fresh paint, and new kill switch, two are running great after adjusting, but one will start at half choke, and idle at half choke, and that's it. If I take the choke off, and/or give it some throttle, is stalls out. Also on this, the kill switch isn't working. The engine was running before the refresh (I know !) Any help, ideas, would be much appreciated. Thanks
Thank you both for your suggestions. I took the carb apart, and since the parts were new, I just reassembled it, installed it, preadjusted it, and VAROOOM ! the thing started right up and with a little adjusting, now runs great. The float must have been getting hung up some how, but now is fine. Thanks.
