Can you buy a new Magneto for a HS40 if so what is the part number. I need one with the lighting option. Also if not can you rebuild them?

There are two lighting coils on ebay, might start there.

Sometimes they can be fixed by soldering the break in the coil , sometimes not :laugh:.:shrug:

My new Roadster 2 has a bad magneto. So I think. I cannot get it to spark. I replaced the coil no improvement then replaced the points. Still nothing. Then I replaced the whole magneto and got a nice
spark. The problem is the magneto I have is just a standard one with no light option. The laminations on the old one are somewhat separated/ I wonder if a motor repair shop could redo this?

It probably will cost more to repair then for you to buy ebay item 321333339686.

you tube stator rewind....If I'm not mistaken its the same idea...I know people fix them all the time.
