Wanted: Clinton Tillotson Carb Diaphragm

Looking for just the diaphragm for a Tillotson HN series carburetor. Commonly used on Clinton chainsaws and post hole diggers, it is a single diaphragm carb with 5 mounting screws around the cover. I would also be interested in the original Clinton part number.

Looks like the one in the picture just made out of rubber instead of rock.

May be interested in more than on if the price is right.

Is it a Tillotson or a Brown carburetor?
I think I have a Brown carb from an E65 Clinton, not sure about the condition.

I use some Tillotson HC carbs, which do not have a bowl or a pump. They are single diaphragm carbs, gravity fed. I use HL diaphragms when I need a rebuild.

Hl diaphragms have 6 screw holes I think and would be larger in diameter, If you have a carb handy could you measure the diameter?

That is a 6-hole but can be modified to work in the HN 5-hole body.

Part number was worn off the bag. Saved that stuff for years. Never know when it's needed. Yours for$20+ shipping

I appreciate the offer but being NOS and having to modify it to fit you might want to hang onto for someone needing for the correct carb.

Sorry. Didn't realize it wasn't direct fit. Forgot what I ordered it for all those years ago.

My HC carbs are also 6 screws and the diameter is 2 1/8.
I can look in my parts box, maybe I have a five hole kit.

Not a problem, thanks for offering. HN diaphragms seem to be very hard to find. I think the carbs were only used on Clinton engines. I found a source for some HL diaphragms so I am going to give a try at modifying them, current oriental manufacture not nos.

Yeah, I contacted him and asked if he would sell diaphragms without the kit as I would buy many if he did. The answer I got was I needed to contact Discount Marine, I assume that is where he gets the kits from. If I can make any of the readily available parts work I will go with them.

Thanks, as I posted earlier, I purchased HL diaphragms I will be modifying to fit when they get here.
