What are these wheels?

I got such a good deal on this Taco frame, I know the forks are wrong but I bought it for the kickstand! (They are hard to find) I’m going to relist it and I’m wondering if anyone can identify the wheels?

At first i thought they were Powerdyne wheels, but looking again I don't think so

They look like Azusalite wheels but Azusalites are made of Zytel, yours look like they are aluminum with black paint peeling off. Maybe Azusa made that design in aluminum at some time...

Looking at the bolts it almost looks like the wheels are black and were painted.

I think Charles S is correct, they look identical to the Azuzalite wheels, but these are Aluminum

Contact Azusa and ask if they ever made aluminum wheels of that design. Those wheels must be quite rare and may have collector value...

FYI, thats not a Taco, It’s a Zebra.. very cool bike and kinda a clone of a Taco…below is a pic of mine going back together..Don’t mind the sweaty Briggs… its getting a Briggs 5HP

I finally took one of these apart… and Charles S was exactly right! They are nylon but sure had me fooled with the paint and the sound they made when I banged a wrench on them

Now in that pic they are definitely not tristars. You can see the old squished up water bottles they recycled to make those rims.
