I have 2 trailmaster mb 200s I really appreciate the advice I did read thru these comments I originally was trying to connect the linkage exactly how it came but for some reason it's not correct. The governor arm is not in the right position when I attach the spring from the control lever causing it to hold the carborator wide open idk what I'm doing wrong so I did shorten the rod and its connected from the control lever straight to the carb lol. It's been like that for a few years. I've replaced springs and tried every which way. I was just curious if this was a repetitive problem w these bikes.

You should have stated your initial problem and exact intentions from the get-go. There's people on here who can advice reassembly in the correct manner and let's face it, the governor assembly IS a horrible mess of levers, linkages and springs and no two engines are the same unless they're exactly the same.

It's a repetitive problem with any governed engine of similar type, size and application especially when they are taken apart or adjusted without proper know-how.
