Where to mount my new gas tank

I just bought the gas tank pictured in the link below for my Doodlebug. I need some ideas on where I should mount it. I was thinking of mounting it in front of the engine on the forward vertically angled frame tubes.

I like to mount them right along the frame rails on top about like a motorcycle or any other auxiliary tank.. :thumbsup:

I think YEAH actually I'm sure of it... I just threw a motor and tank on my Minimate the other day with a phone cord cheap quick hillbilly riggings... the Purple Heathkit also has one like that but on there a little nicer..

HAHAHAHAHA!!! You too huh? Yeah the old steel cool looking ones will bring a price if you ask it. :thumbsup: I have one very similar to his that was on an old Jacobsen.. The Clinton ones and about ANY old steel 50's on down motor tanks are good ones..

Look at ProMod's threads, he mounted a tank under his seat and hinged it giving easy acess to the cap, a neat deal!

No problem! Check out my new thread on DB fork mods, I have nearly convinced myself to go ahead and cut! I have gathered and cleaned up the parts, checked and re-checked the logic and see no reason not to proceed. These are cool minibikes although many badmouth the quality. I have 4 vintage ones and the DB gives me creative freedom. I have very little $ in mine, that makes it even easier! Good luck!
