The slippery slope towards speaking the queens English begins with words like that.
You go to bed one night speaking perfectly normal Yankee and wake on day with the urge to add a U between every every O and R you see in a word.

Next thing you know your at the Quayside sucking back a warm bitter out of the boot of your car.
Staring at some bird down on the forecourt near the canteen and like the silly queef you never even noticed how quickly Englishness crept up on you.

There is no cure for being English, but there are treatment centres in the north of France where they feed you food not boiled, and dry climate will reduce the tendency to carry an umbrella and wear a hat.

If you see the warning signs of englishness in a friend or relative take them to a ball game immediately.
Keep them hydrated with thin beer made of rice served too cold and over gassed.
And serve them plenty of Mexican food to keep them running to bathroom until help arrives.

The first thing Hent said to me after he asked me to be a mod, was that he could change his mind and take it away from me after a year...a month..or a day! He said no hard feelings, but if he saw anything he didin't like he would pull the mod powers without hesitation.

I don't believe for a minute that there are "rogue mods" who are randomly deleting innocent threads or posts.. or deleting classified ads so they can steal a bike or part for themselves...or targeting specific individuals without reason. I just don't see it. And I know for a fact that Hent would see it, because that guy doesn't miss anything. If anything I see people given more leash than they deserve sometimes...and any major moves or bans are always run by the boss first.

Some people come over here from other forums where "anything goes" is the rule. That's just not the way it is here... pornography, threats, over the top foul language...it's just not going to be tolerated.

I'd be banning, sharing inside info to my buddies, heads up for good sales, add words to posts, and general posting under other peoples names. Just creating havoc.:laugh:

I am on here way too much and see most all posts. No question this is ran fair and square and done with honesty and integrety.

I don't want this forum to go away...........I look forward each day to coming on here, and educating my self.......and I must admit I enjoy a little bantering cause I just like to have some fun, but mostly I like to laugh cause life is hard enough.......for the most part there are a good group of people on here and I have made some friends who have helped me tremendously.....I often get discouraged when some threads turn bad......the foul language etc is just not necessary and I appreciate what the owner and mods do to keep this forum on a higher plain......Isnt life in general full of hardships for most of us and isn't it nice that we all have this in common.......I am glad this forum isn't like a lot of the others on the net and if that makes me a kiss arzzz then that's what I am...

Thank you OldMiniBikes, hent and the mods for all you do to protect this site:thumbsup: and please don't let the few ruin it for those of us who enjoy this forum so much......Its just that simple......

The mods do a great job. I think I am on this forum a lot. And most of the time I never see what problems there are because the mods have handled it. I have had several posts removed. 99% percent of the time I looked back and said" ok it was put in the wrong section or maybe I shouldn't have said that" but I don't whine about it. It's THEIR site and only ours to use. They make the rules and enforce them as they see fit. If I didn't appreciate that or understand why they do what they do then I wouldn't be here. I applaud them and this site for what it is.... The rest can email each other back and forth if you can't see the value of a well run and moderated site.:thumbsup::thumbsup:

At first I was amused and made silly comments.

This morning I read things I do not like.
Name calling for example.

Just grow up and and try and live by the mantra do no harm.
Say nothing to offend and offer words that inspire and or offer help to others.

Dam short time we have to do all these things in life.
Why waste any of that precious time by being a prick?

Funny thing about a good dog is they will go out f their way to please you.
All they want from life is honest affection and someone to play with.
Maybe a bone now and then...
Possibly other small animal or kid to struggle with in the pecking order.

People could learn a lot from dogs.
You know why?
Dogs are better at reading people than most people.

And they are honest and fair..
