Cleaned everything up! All looks to be in great condition... will reassemble tomorrow.... and fix both flat tires

Congratulations on your find, very neat bike.

That gear box is interesting to me. I am not familiar with the ones found on some utility bikes.

Tell me, do they allow on the go shifting, or do they require you to stop to shift ?

When I get it put back together... I will be trying it for the first time.... I am not sure... my guess is you would need to stop.... Richard May know the answer to that...

I think that is the kill wire. Touch it to ground to kill motor. You have the early coil. They don't make them anymore. Sometimes you can find a NOS from someone but it is best to protect your original; Always have the plug wire grounded when not on the spark plug ( or ground the kill wire). If you need to update the coil, you will need to update the flywheel as well. Probably from 1958.
