I put a 94ss dyno cam in my 5hp briggs with a billet rod and billet lifter the motor starts but screams for about five seconds then dies I was thinking of advancing the timing to see if that helps if anybody can help me out that with any ideas on what I can do to remedy this problem
Has anyone ever advanced a dyno mod 2 cam in a 6.5 motor. Stock head on my predator so I'm thinking one dot ahead would give me more bottom end torque and having the head stock uncut should be ok ptv . If no one has info I'm just gona try it. Has 8* key on the motor trying stock key...
I have a stock 5hp Briggs or some what stock shaved head ported and polished shaved the eye brows billet rod stock carb and strait piped would Advancing cam timing a tooth or two help performance or hurt or maby retarding the timing any input guys
has any one ever tried advancing the cam shaft one tooth ? I'm working on mildly built briggs and stock the valves open and close at TDC "top dead center which means the piston is at the very top of the stroke " .
By advancing the cam one tooth the intake valve starts to open just before TDC...
Can you advance the timing on a stock 2.8 hp DB30 using a key that is already set to the desired degree of advance? If so, where can you buy the timing keys and how much advance will be beneficial to the little stock motor?
people on here keep telling me to file my fly wheel timing key were do you file it on top bottom sides not to sure :confused: can some one help me with this tell me how and or have any pics of what it should look like and what does this do fo the life of the motor thanks:thumbsup:
