I milled the head down a little to bump up the compression, fabricated a intake for the mikuni and opened...

    Cold Weather Starting?

At what temps does your little mini call it quits? All the way to 7 degrees i took my CT200U with its china motor. I was very impressed with the little critter, in warm weather it starts with 3 pulls, at 7 degrees (cold as it got here) it took 7. Once it cranked it didn't quit though...

    Octane rating?

If I buy 91 octane instead of 87 would I see a benefit or would it be a waste of money? I understand some Briggs engines can self adjust to meet an octane rating but I don't know if mine can ~ here are the numbers. MODEL = 135502 TYPE = 014501 CODE = 93050707 Thanks a bunch guys.

i got 10 gallons of 100 octane low lead... can i reduce that to 87?

does anyone know if i can add something to it i.e. oils or something so i can run it in my tec (100hm) flattie? maybe some of the old hands know something that works- to be able to use AV 100LL aviation fuel and a mix ratio with something else to get it down to a useable 87 octane? anybody?

What octane gas should I run?

If I change my gx200 clone to a billet rod, and a flat top piston and remove the gov? What octane rating if I also install a 14cc cylinder head? One more question, when I pull the gov I'd like to adjust the timing, how many degrees should it be advanced?

    Transition to higher octane

Looking to bump the cr soon maybe somewhere north of 12:1. From read throughs of dated threads seems that between 11:1 and 13:1 is the grey area where engines begin their transition from regular gas to the higher octane. When transitioning to these higher octanes do the preventive checks...
