I have a HS40 in pretty good overall shape. It has not been taken apart or molested as far as I can tell. When I first got it, I took the carb apart and cleaned it. It fired up, however when I tried to give it any throttle, it would die. So I messed with the carb a few more times to the point...

I just got a spare 10hp Tech (HM 100) off a generator with a tapered shaft. Does anyone make an adapter to go from a taper to a 3/4" or 1" shaft? If not where is a good place to get a replacement crank? anybody got any other solutions let me know. Thanks David A

I need a crank for this engine. 3/4 keyed minibike type. Or info if anyone can tell me what will fit. Side exhaust port, dose that make a difference?
