5hp briggs /1970 flathead

:shrug:how do i change to electronic ignition ?...a 5hp briggs..?

Go to your local Briggs dealer and tell them what you want to do. They should have the kit in stock. It will depend on what model motor you have.
The electronic ignition fits in place of your points coil. Remove the blower cover and it's 2 screws. Remove the old coil and cut the wires to the points (or remove the flywheel and take the points and condenser out) either way is ok.
I'll look for the part number I used.

Here's the part number for the electronic ignition.

397358 Armature - magneto. Looks like it will fit most models. Mine was a 13000.
