Yes the adapter was made from a piece of aluminum stock. Then drill it for the two 7/16" mount bolts. And do a big hole down the middle for the intake. it takes a bit of work to make one. Not mandatory but it really puts the carb in a better position.
Nice find! The muffler looks pretty nice! Make sure you put some penetrating oil on the heat shield screws. Those break off very easy. What are your plans? Are you going to clean up the bike, or restore? Good luck I'll be watching.
Well i took it apart. Man it's a bigger mess than i thought.
Going to re-do the frame. As much as i would like to keep the metallic blue, i'm not sure i can. The other choice is that Rupp burnt orange/red color used in 1970. That burnt red would be easier to do. thoughts? cfh
